Dr. Mati graduated from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine out of Boston, Massachusetts, in 2003. Following dental school, Dr. Mati completed an externship at the Misch Implant Institute, followed by the completion of a one-year comprehensive residency program in implant dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia’s MAXI course. His advanced training in dental implantology and expanded knowledge of general dentistry help to make Advanced Dentistry Center the place you can trust for your family.
Dr. Mati served as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Detroit Mercy dental school and has also served as a counsel member of the American Academy of General Dentistry. He has presented table clinics at national meetings, as well as lectured at study clubs and local meetings.
Dr. Mati has been a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) since 2006 and has been an Associate Fellow since 2008. He is currently serving as the President of the Central District of the AAID.
He has completed over a thousand hours of dental implant continuing education and has placed and restored over 3000 implants. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). Dr. Mati is also a Diplomate with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Mati is passionate about learning and keeping up with the latest trends and technology related to implant dentistry. He is dedicated to providing the best care for his patients, and his commitment to continuing education makes it all possible. Dr. Mati is the founder of Advanced Dentistry Center and lectures nationally for Biohorizon.
He completed his I.V. sedation training at the Conscious Sedation Institute and is one of a few general dentists in southeast Michigan certified to provide intravenous conscious sedation.
When not working, Dr. Mati enjoys spending time with his wife, Dalya, RPH (pharmacist), and their four children, Chloe, Elizabeth, Peter, and Paul. He is currently a soccer Coach for his son’s soccer team. He enjoys watching sports and played many while growing up.
I recently became a patient of the Advanced Dentistry Center, and after visiting the office two times, I feel like I have finally found the right dental care! The staff here are friendly, professional, and welcoming! I am very happy with my Dentist, Dr. Banno, who is very knowledgeable and delivers A+ service! Throughout the entire procedure, Dr. Banno was updating me on what she was doing step by step as she wants to make sure that her patients feel comfortable .

My nerves and anxiety were taking the best of me and I was second-guessing even going. When I walked in the furniture was beautiful nice and clean and smell very nice they were patient and kind! I had to get two teeth pulled and I was having hot flashes they use the fan to help calm me down music playing they knew exactly what to do and how to do it I wasn’t into much pain I felt very comfortable .
AMAZING. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to, I came in for an extraction today as a new patient, and I was amazed of the customer service I received. Days prior when I called to book the appointment the receptionist was very helpful and very nice and got me in the next day. Today the staff, from the front desk, the dental assistants, and the Doctor were BEYOND nice and very kind, nice people
